Anyone who has been to that part of Africa and/ or been in contacted with people who have it, think they have Ebola or think they have the symptoms and are worried they might have it would be seen by a doctor and then quarantined until test results are back to say if that person is healthy or has Ebola. The true is that Ebola has been going around for many years but has only had a huge breakout recently where they were cases other than in Africa but it can be contained in area due to quarantine to stop the spread. Ebola is not a joke it is a serious disease and a lot of people don’t understand it or what those people have and are going through.
Then people started joking about it for instance if someone coughed they would be like “oh I have Ebola” then they would laugh and joke more about it yes it is ok to joke about this stuff however you need to understand that this is no joke for the people who have or know someone who had Ebola. When people first heard about the Ebola break out they panicked thought that everyone would get it and it would end the human race as we know it. If it was to come over there would only be a few cases and they would be quarantined quickly to stop the spread. Like with previous diseases like swine flu everyone panicked over it when it was very unlikely you would catch it, the same is with Ebola it is very unlikely to even come over to the UK. I decided to pick Ebola as my news story as I think that the news has exaggerated it to the point where it is just to shock people and cause panic.
Tearing paper (perforated), cut out windows, foldout pages, splitting and image up in to sections, cut out lettering, word search. We decided to do a design similar where every page is interactive in a different way. We did some more research into interactive book and found a design where they had make the whole book interactive and every page was something new to interactive with. Was also told that we can’t stick to the first idea we had for the book layout and what the book could do.Īfter the feedback we decided to make a more interactive book where the reader is more involved in the book then just having the pages pull out. We were also told that we need to work more as a pair and decide on layout and the concept of the book together and no come up with an idea then both of us work on it separate designs layouts then not being able to decide on one we both like. We was told that we needed to work on the visual language of the book more as it wasn’t enough to just have the pages pull out to make one long page.
